Date Unknown. Notice the two EMD trailing units. This is unusual for the Central, as they liked to use F3s on the front of freight moves, as the crews liked the cab units better. |

Description: |
On the morning of 12/26/1964, a wash out occurred near Dennis on the Central of Georgia Eatonton District. A storm on Christmas night overwhelmed a pipe, and it washed out the track. My knowlege of this wreck comes from an article the conductor of this train (whom was riding in the caboose at the time), Tommy Tinker, whom wrote an article in the Right Way Magazine on the subject. The caboose is X61, which was riding behind the locomotive. |

Macon, Dublin and Savannah |
Description: |
Date Unknown. Unknown MDS RS locomotive lead a Seaboard RS3 across an overpass. While that overpass looks quite new, it isn't. There is a picture In Mixed Train Daily (the book) of MD&S 875, the main passenger locomotive, on this overpass in 1947. Considering the Seaboard completly took control of the MD&S in 1958, this is probably that year, consiering the paing scheme on the leading locomootive, and the fact the trailing locomotive moght be og MD&S decent. |
